Bernard Wall Apple

Bernard Wall Apple, 65 of Elon passed away on September 18, 2021 at ARMC.

Bernard was born in Guilford County on March 8, 1956 the son of the late Howard Apple and Catherine Wall Apple. He was employed in the telecommunications industry.  Bern was a loving soul who would do absolutely anything for his family and someone you could always count on to put a smile on your face.  He loved good music, the beach, and watching / playing sports with Troy. No matter what unfair health struggles he dealt with along the way, Bern never wavered from being a selfless person and close follower of Jesus Christ.  He will be remembered as a Role Model, Christian, and a huge Duke Fan.  Bern shed a positive light on everyone he had a conversation with and will continue to do so in Heaven.  His smile and irreplaceable personality will be missed greatly by his friends and family. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother Douglas Apple and a sister Pamela Apple Jones.

Surviving are his wife of 32 years, Rita Lane Apple; a grandson Troy Howell; a grand daughter Savannah Sullivan; a step daughter Regina Sullivan and a sister Marie White.
