Barry Keith Payne, 58 of Burlington passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, November 17, 2021.

Barry was born in Alamance County on July 19, 1963 the son of the late James R. “Buddy” Payne. Sr. and Harriet Tyre Payne. He was employed with Duke Power for many years and was a loving son, husband, father, grandfather and brother. Barry was an avid fisherman. In addition to his father he was preceded in death by his wife of 28 years Robin Payne.

Surviving in addition to his mother Harriet Payne is his daughter, Whitney Lambe Holt; two step daughters, Ashely Cardwell and Laura Capps; five grandchildren, Wesley, Blake, Ava, Caison and Kinley; two brothers, Jimmy Payne (Angie) and Tony Payne (Wendy); three sisters , Terry Coley (Freddie), Sherri Hendrix (Erik) and Cindy Lewis (Jeff); his special friend and nephew Tylar Lewis as well as many family members and good friends.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 3 pm on Monday at Omega Funeral Service & Crematory Chapel with Reverend Don Pegg officiating. The family will receive friends from 2-3 pm prior to the service at the funeral home and all other times at the home.  You may share an online condolence by visiting www.omegafsc.com.
