Barbara "Barb" Johnson

On Monday, January 20, 2020, Barbara “Barb” Johnson, wife, mother, daughter, nana, sister, passed away suddenly at the young age of 51.

Barbara will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 14 years, Paul, her mother, Donna Morse, and her daughters Erin Shaver (Christian) and Kristen Neu (James). She will also be fondly remembered by her three grandchildren, Jeziah Neu, Julian Slavick, and Julian Shaver, by her brother and three sisters, four nieces and six nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Alden Morse and her son, Steven Johnson.

Barbara was born in Rochester, NY on August 14, 1968. She was an avid pet lover, she loved to sing, cook and enjoyed caring for others. If you knew Barb, then you knew that she had a huge heart and loved helping others. When she loved, she loved big, and if she loved you, you knew she loved you, and you never had to doubt that. She was called “Mom” by many whom she had no biological ties to. She took people in when they needed help, regardless if she truly had the means to do so. She often did without or with very little so that she could be of service to others. She exuded compassion and generosity.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 7 PM on Tuesday at Omega Funeral Service & Crematory Chapel. The family will receive friends from 6-7 PM, prior to the service at the funeral home.
