Barbara Heck Kemper, 87 of Burlington passed away peacefully on August 24, 2022 at Brookdale Memory Care. 

Barbara was born in Minnesota on October 11, 1934 a daughter of the late Paul L. Heck and Theresa Schoenecker Heck. She was a devoted after-school principal in Chapel Hill for many years and was a member of St. Thomas Moore Catholic Church in Chapel Hill. Barb was an exceptional woman to be around as attested by her many truly good friends as well as the love and closeness of her entire  family

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Gregory Kemper

Surviving is her husband of 66 years, Bruce Kemper; two daughters, Catherine Bryant and Nicole Carswell (Derik); two sons, Christopher Kemper (Jane) and Thomas Kemper (Barb); eight grandchildren and four great grandchildren. 

A Memorial Mass will be offered at 2:30 PM on October 6, 2022 at St. Thomas Moore Catholic Church. Inurnment will follow at the church columbarium. You may share an online condolence by visiting www.omegafsc.com. Arrangements are in the care of Omega Funeral Service & Crematory.
