Heaven gained a beautiful angel, Amy West White, on April 9, 2022. Amy, 47 of Graham passed away peacefully at AuthoraCare Collective Hospice Home. For the last few years of her life, Amy battled metastatic breast cancer, and during her battle she never let her strong faith, spirit, or love for others falter. It would be wrong to say that Amy lost her battle because she never stopped fighting and she is now finally home in heaven. Through her, we know what resilience, perseverance, and a Godly woman truly look like. 

Amy was born in Wayne County on May 6, 1974 a daughter of Robert Fulton West and Faye Talley West. She was a graduate of Western Alamance High School and then went on to graduate from Appalachian State University where she studied to be an elementary school teacher. Amy loved her students, coworkers, and loved her job, and taught in both Alamance and Orange counties.  Amy also loved the beach, loved people, and loved her family, but she most importantly loved God. Amy emitted positivity, love, and happiness her whole life. Amy was selfless and she lived her life striving to be like Jesus; giving and loving to anyone who was lucky enough to know her.

She was preceded in death by her stepson Jonathan Lynn White.

Surviving in addition to her parents is her husband of 24 years, Gary White; two children, Adam White and Sara White; a brother, Robert "Rob" West (Karen) and numerous other family members and good friends. 

A Celebration of Amy's life will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, April 23rd at New Covenant Fellowship Church with Pastor David Neff, and Pastor Ricky Lewis, officiating.
