Allen Wertz

Allan D. Wertz, 63, passed away on Wednesday, March 27, 2019 at his home in Snow Camp, surrounded by his loving family.

Allan was born in Pine Grove, Pennsylvania, on March 30, 1955.  He was the son of late Harvey E. and Betty Ann Lehman Wertz of Pine Grove, Pennsylvania.  He graduated from Pine Grove Area High School, Pennsylvania.  Allan was a supervisor at Sapa Extrusions, Inc. before retiring.  He worked in the aluminum business for over 30 years.  Allan was a member of the Lamb’s Chapel of Haw River.  He loved camping and spending time with his family. 

Allan was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and cousin. 

A brother, Elmer Wertz of Pine Grove, Pennsylvania, preceded him in death.

Surviving are his wife of 39 years, Karen Trumbo Wertz of Snow Camp; a son, Jonathan H. Wertz of Snow Camp; two daughters, Tara and husband Jay Sparrow of Chapel Hill and Stacey and husband Johanan Ballinger of Snow Camp; three grandchildren, Alissa Dunn, Levi Sparrow, and Ava Wertz; four brothers, Thomas, Charles and Ronald Wertz all of Pine Grove, Pennsylvania and Timothy Wertz of Frystown, Pennsylvania; three sisters, Jean Abrams, Judy (Jut) Wertz, and Jody (Lynn) Sites all of Pine Grove, Pennsylvania.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 4 PM on March 30, 2019 at the First Baptist Church of Graham with Reverend Chris Howe officiating with the family receiving friends and family from 3 PM to 4 PM prior to the service.

The family would prefer in lieu of flowers, donations be given to the First Baptist Church of Graham, P.O. Box 779, Graham, NC  27253 in his memory.
