Adam Lee Rogers, 42 of Honea Path formerly of Burlington passed away unexpectedly on April 18, 2023.
Adam was born on February 21, 1981 a son of the late Richard Lee Rogers and Betty Jo Griffin Cable. He attended Eastern Guilford High School from 9th grade through half of 11th grade and then transferred to Southern Alamance High School for the remaining portion of his 11th grade through 12th grade. He graduated in 2000. He met his wife in 2000, proposed in 2001 and then they were married in 2002. In 2003 they had a son Richard Lee Rogers, named in honor of Adams' late father Richard. He always referred to Kimberly as "Sweet Pea". He loved children, was a great father, coached baseball for his son's teams, and couldn't wait to be a grandfather. Adam wanted to be called "Paw Paw Red".
Adam had a lot of health issues through the years but he always fought through them with such bravery. When his health allowed, he loved to be outdoors. He was often in his forging area that he had set up in the yard doing some work. He enjoyed going for rides with his wife, traveling, spending time with family and friends, crafts, and listening to music. In his earlier years, he enjoyed working on his mudmower, archery, target shooting and golf.
He was outgoing and social. He could make friends easily and genuinely cared for his family and close friends.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his mother in law Bonnie Jordan Harper, paternal grandparents Ed and Mae Hinshaw, and maternal grandparents Harold and Jeraldine Griffin.
Surviving in addition to his mother Betty Jo Cable (Warren) is his wife Kimberly Rogers; his son Richard Lee Rogers (Taylor Crumpton); his brother Chad Rogers (Tiffany Moody); a sister Rebekah Rogers (Josh Cranford); father in law, Harold Harper, Jr.; brother in law Harold Harper, III (Bridgett Silkowski) and numerous other family and friends.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 1 pm on Monday, May 1st at Omega Funeral Service & Crematory Chapel. The family will receive friends from 12 noon until 1 pm prior to the service. Interment will follow at Gibsonville City Cemetery.
