Thomas Wayne Fowler, 61 of Burlington passed away on August 4, 2019 at home. 

Thomas was born in Davidson County on November 1, 1957 the son of the late Isaac Fowler and Carolyn Matthews Fowler. He was employed as a cook for many years with Smithfields Barbeque and was a loving Father, Grandfather, Brother and Uncle. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister Patricia Collins and a brother Charles Fowler. 

Surviving are his daughter Dawn McQuaigue and husband Michael; a grand daughter Molly McQuaigue; a sister Gloria Freshwater and husband Danny as well as numerous nieces and nephews. 

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 3 pm on Friday at Faith Baptist Church 5100 West Ten Road Efland, NC with Rev. Keith Spake officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:30 until 3 pm prior to the service at the church. In lieu of flowers the family gratefully appreciates donations made to Dawn McQuaigue or Gloria Freshwater.
