Margaret Ann Costner

Margaret Costner, 73 of Graham, passed away after a period of declining health on Thursday, July 12, 2018, at Alamance Regional Medical Center. 

Margaret was born in Franklin County, Va. on June 30, 1945, to the late Walter E. Hodges and Sarah L. Wagner Hodges. She was retired from the textile industry and a homemaker, She enjoyed playing the video poker games and spend many evenings with her son John proving it. Margaret also worked as a caregiver with the elderly which she really enjoyed. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Charles Edward O'Daniel, a son Charles "Charlie" O'Daniel Jr. and two grandchildren, Susie O'Daniel and Jesse Chase Swaim.

Margaret is survived by her sons John O'Daniel, Darryl O'Daniel and wife Jamie, and her beautiful daughter Patricia O'Daniel plus numerous nieces and nephews that called her mama, also a brother Eldridge Hodges; and three sisters, Kathy Hodges, Betty Hodges and Mary Martin; 13 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. 

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2 pm on Monday at Omega Funeral Service & Crematory Chapel. The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
