LeRoy Edward Burton

LeRoy Burton was born September 26, 1936 in Plainfield, NJ and received his wings on August 26, 2019 in the home in Elon, NC.

He was the son of the late Donald and Esther Young. LeRoy will forever be remembered for his love of motor cycles, bowling, dancing and his family. Those who knew him well knew he was also a great handyman. He would tinker with things to figure out how they worked so he could fix it. Preceding his passing are sisters, Lorraine Alexander, Camellia (Mickey) Gary, Avasta (Tillie) Toney; sons, Jorge (Butch) Tyson, Nathan Foster; daughters, Dolly Renee Foster, Shelly (Punky) Foster, Diana (Chubby) Burton.

Surviving is his wife Lorna Burton; sons, Donne Burton; daughter, Candice Harrell; sisters, Wanda Young, Elaine Young and 9 grandchildren; a host of great grandchildren, nephews and nieces.

A Home Going Celebration will be held at 7 pm on Thursday at Omega Funeral Service & Crematory Chapel with Revered Ervin Milton officiating.
