Julius "JT" Jefferson

Julius "JT" Jefferson, 85 of Yanceyville passed away at home on October 12, 2018.

JT was born in Florence, SC on September 10, 1933 the son of the late Fuller Jefferson and Minnie Parrish Jefferson. He worked in the textile industry for many years and enjoyed helping people as well as being around others. After retirement he held the family business which grew to become the local hangout and built friendships that would last a lifetime. He loved sitting outside and waving at everyone that passed by. He also loved his family very much and his special friend Rex  . In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Ruby Aldridge Jefferson and a son Julius Jefferson, Jr. 

Surviving are two daughters, Theresa Jefferson and Fiance Nicolas and Renea Somers; four sisters, Suzy Garner, Lorraine Massey, Jeanette Emmons and Judy Carter; a brother Harold Jefferson; three grandchildren, Sierra Shelton, Haley Cox and Cole Somers; and two great grandchildren, Connor Pinyatello and Jaylen Wiley-Aldridge. 

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Friday at 6 pm at Omega Funeral Service & Crematory Chapel with Rev. Steve Pruitt officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home and all other times at the home.
