John Quincy McCravey, Sr., 90 of Burlington passed away Friday September 15, 2017. 

John was born in Spartanburg County, SC on July 26, 1927 the son of the late Mark and Betsy Worthy McCravey. He was self-employed as owner and operated of Bur-Gra Meat and Grocery prior to his retirement.  He was a man of strong faith and charity who loved his family, welcomed every stranger with a smile and will be dearly missed. He was preceded in death by his first wife Hazel Richardson McCravey, his second wife Mary "Mickey" Young McCravey and his daughter Nancy McCravey. 

He is survived by his 3 sons, John McCravey, Mark McCravey (wife Lori), and Scott McCravey (wife Donna); and two step-daughters Karen Hubbard and Elizabeth Mabe (husband Randy);  grandchildren, Michele, BJ, Sarah, Marie, Micah, Rachael, Chelsie, Jennifer, Brittany, Rebecca, Ayla and Alex; and great grandchildren, Ryan, Caleb, Haley, Troy,Marilyn, Jaden and Ephraim.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 am on Wednesday at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church with Reverend Paul Lininger officiating. Interment will follow at Pine Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10 am until 11 am prior to the service at the church.
