Jerry Wayne Sims, 54 of Burlington passed away at home on Saturday December 2, 2017.

Jerry was born in Alamance County on March 15, 1963 the son of the late Charles "Poochie" Sims and Carolyn Oneal Sims. He was employed in the textile industry for most of his career and was of Baptist faith. On June 29, 1984 he married his high school sweetheart the former Shelby McAdams who survives him. 

Surviving in addition to his wife Shelby of the home is two sons, Gary Sims and Jerry Wayne Sims, Jr.; two sisters, Sharon Holt and husband Donnie and Loris Sims; a brother Stevie Sims and wife Zandra; and a grand daughter Carolyn Ann Sims. 

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 3 pm on Thursday at Friendly Lane Baptist Church. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be at Pine Hill Cemetery. Sign an online register book at www.omegafsc.com. Arrangements are in the care of Omega Funeral Service & Crematory and will be announced.
