Jack Waynick, 87 passed away peacefully at Twin Lakes Community on July 31, 2017 with his daughters by his side.

Jack was retired. The majority of his career was spent at WBTV in Charlotte, NC. 

He was an incredibly competent man with the reputation of being able to fix anything from a 3 year old's boo-boos, a car's transmission, to a sagging deck. He was very passionate about Carolina Cross, Connection. He, along with others from Sedgefield United Methodist Church (formerly St Paul) would lead the youth to minister to the less fortunate.

Jack is survived by 3 daughters, Becky Craig (Kimmel), Teresa McCauley (John), & Diana Marcus (Jimmy), 10 grandchildren, & 11 great grandchildren, & his brother, Tom.

He was predeceased by his wife of 61 years, Dot (8/20/16), 3 children: Andy, Patty, & Kathy, a step grandson, his parents, 5 sisters, & 2 brothers.

A memorial service is scheduled for August 10 at Sedgefield United Methodist Church 2830 Dorchester Place, Charlotte, NC 28209. 1:30, with receiving 1 hour prior to the service. 

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, or to Sedgefield UMC.
