Jack entered heavens gates on August 24, 2018

He was much loved by his wife Freida and 8 children. He was a huge UNC TarHeel fan and enjoyed attending basketball games. His joy was attending the Roy Williams Fast Break against Cancer Fundraiser where he acquired a basketball signed by the 2010/2011 basketball team. He enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family.

He was born April 23,1939. He was the son of the late Jack and Ada Gebe of Hendersonville, NC.

Jack served in the army the day after his high school graduation in 1957-1959. He was a private first class as a radio equipment operator and repairman.

He worked for Bryant Durham Electric for a total of 30+ years working as a Superintendent and in the Special Systems Dept. He also owned and operated Gebe Electric Company for 20 years.

He is survived by his three sisters, Mary Trail, Joanne Cox, & Anna Stevens. He is also survived by his sons, Mike Wall and wife Bettina; Jack F. Gebe and wife Rita; Jeff Lynch and wife Marcella; Bobby Gebe and wife Christine; and daughters, Toni Johnson and husband Hughlin; Teresa Bryson and husband Kenneth; Sharon Norris and husband Martin; Patricia Gebe and husband Greg Neef; 18 grandchildren- William, Sammy, Ashley, Andrew, Bryan, Andrea, Michelle, Mitchell, Zachariah, Ezekiel, Elise, Emily, Chelsea, James, William, Samuel, Christina, Stacie, & Tim. 17 Great grandchildren- Bethany, Phillip, Ashton, Sammie, Madeline, Vaali, Tyler, Brayden, Jordyn, Rylee, Abigail, Gabriel, Jacob, Caleb, Connor, Chance, & Peyton.

There will be a private family ceremony at his childhood home in Fruitland, Hendersonville. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations can be made to Hospice & Palliative Care Center of Alamance-Caswell, 914 Chapel Hill Rd. Burlington, NC 27215.
