Mr. Fred Carlton Wright 80, of Burlington was born in Oxford NC and moved up north to Newark NJ at a early age. He later met his soul mate the former Carolyn Blackwell and they were united in Holy Matrimony. Out of this Holy Matrimony they have two children, Ms. Rene Hulin of Lexington, SC and Mr. Frederick Wright of NC. Three Grandchildren , Niema S, Hulin of Erie PA, Nihshon T. Hulin of Hollywood CA, and Kyra Wright of Union NJ.(AL) from this union they gave two Great Grandchild Jayden Wright and Elijah Thompson.
Mr. Fred Wright was a truck driver and later became a Business owner of his own night club . He and his wife later moved back to the South where they resided in Burlington NC after retirement. Fred could sing like Sam Cooke and he enjoyed music, he was an entertainer for several years and his singing and dancing could capture your attention. Growing up we enjoyed watching him sing to our mom and watch her face lite up because he knew how to win her over. Their bond was strong even until the end. He always provided for his family. One of his famous saving was I pay the cost to be the Boss. He believed it was a mans job to protect, provide and love his family. This is what real men do . He enjoyed Hunting , Fishing and riding his motorcycle. Before his illness you would find him riding along with his buddies the Newcomers or hunting with Pleasant Grove Hunting club . He was a sharp shooter when it came to hunting. When he did something he did it 100 percent. On occasion he would travel with his wife and family. He enjoyed many memories with his grandchild, and great grandchildren. He knew God only promises you 3 scores plus 10. which is 70 years. He surpassed what God promise him. As a family we are truly grateful for the extra time God has given us. God allow him to cheat death twice and be a living testimony for others to see. Put your trust in the Master and he will never fail you.
Fred was preceded in death by his Father Mr. Willie Wright, Sr, his mother Mrs. Pearl Cate Wright, His brother Robert Wright, his sister Rebecca Bowen and His sister Leatrice Beverly..
He leaves to cherish his memory his wife Carolyn Wright; daughter Rene Hullin; son Frederick Wright; three grandchildren, Niema, Nihshon and Kyra Wright and Al Thompson. Two great grandchildren Jayden and Elijah. His oldest brother Mr. Willie Wright Jr, sister in laws Theartis Wright, Ms. Shirley Wright. And a host of nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.
Fred loved reading and talking about the word of God. He dug deep into the scriptures. If you ever listen to him talk about God he put some knowledge on you. One of his famous sayings was its best to keep your mouth closed and be thought a fool than to open your mouth and remove all doubt. He understood that words are very powerful and you must choose them carefully. He was a wise man who loved history and reading. One famous quote was if you want to hide something from man put it in the pages of a book because we don’t take the time to read. To know him was to LOVE Him. This is the example he displayed because his mission was to show God's LOVE and to drop some knowledge of God unto you.
