Fern Scott Smith, 63 of Gibsonville passed away Monday January 22, 2018 at ARMC.
Fern was born in Alamance County on March 8, 1954 the daughter of the late James T Scott, Sr. and Adell Horner Scott. She was a homemaker and was of the Christian faith. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two sisters, Debbie Sweat and Laura Horner.
Surviving are her signifigant other of 25 years Danny Walker; a daughter Sandi Pitts (Brad) of Elon; sons Wayne Lineberry (Emily) of Gibsonville and Thomas Lineberry (Ashley) of Burlington; two grandchildren that she raised, Ashley Lineberry and Elizabeth Lineberry; a sister Carolyn Minor (Ronnie) of Graham; brothers James T. Scott, Jr. (Diane) and Terry Lee Scott (Susan) all of Burlington; 10 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 1 pm on Tuesday at Shallow Ford Christian Church. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church and all other times at the home. Sign an online register book at www.omegafsc.com.
