Mebane, NC

Doris June Cruse Evans passed away Tuesday, October 24th at the age of 81.

June was born in Andrews, NC on August 12th, 1936 and was the daughter of the late Forest C. and Flora May Holland Cruse. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers William Cruse and Bob Cruse. June was a homemaker who adored her three children and four grandchildren. She enjoyed her and her husband’s flower gardens and had a deep love for children and animals.

Surviving are her husband, Arbie J. Evans of the home, children Susan Evans Creager and husband Chris Chatman of Mebane, Arbie Jonathan Evans, Jr. and wife Jennifer Evans of Mebane, and Yvonne Evans Morrison and husband Ken Morrison of Graham, as well as grandchildren Kaleb Langley (wife Blair), Kendall Morrison, Katie Evans and Andrew Evans.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held this Sunday, October 29th. at 3pm at First Baptist Church of Mebane with Rev. Sammy Ballard officiating. The family will receive guests following the service at the church.
