Donald Fisk, 92 years old and delightfully spunky of Burlington passed away on June 5, 2018 at Hospice and Palliative Care of Alamance-Caswell.
Donald was born in Oregon but he lived most of his life in CA and the last 18 years in Burlington NC. He married the love of his life, Shirley Brooks, who passed in 2005. During WWII, Don was the cook on a submarine. After the war, he managed various meat departments during his working career. He loved woodworking, designing and creating unique inventions of his own. He was a loyal and loving husband and father with a never-ending sense of humor and giving nature that made him well loved by all.
Don is survived by his Son-in-law, Mike Crean, two daughters, Carolyn Crean and Patti Sproule. Grandchildren include Shawn Crean, Heather Avery, Jamie Heflin, and Julie Ballard. Great grandchildren include Zoe Avery, Alexa Avery, Maddox Avery, Brody Heflin, and baby Rowan Ballard.
A memorial service will be held at Shiloh Presbyterian Church (2638 Grand Oaks Blvd., Burlington NC) on Sunday, June 10th at 2:30. Please join us to celebrate the life of this wonderful man.
