Catherine Sykes, 87 of Haw River passed away on July 26, 2019 at ARMC.

Catherine was born in Alamance County on December 11, 1931 the daughter of the late Preston Robert Crabtree and Ora Isley Crabtree. She spent many years serving as Clerk in Superior Court of Alamance County where she enjoyed her position and was proud to serve the citizens of her community. She was a caregiver for many people in her life including her mom and dad, her sister, a brother in law and her mother in law. Catherine was an avid baseball fan, gardener and especially enjoyed reading. She was married for 58 years to Thomas Sykes, Jr. who survives her.

Surviving in addition to her husband of 58 years is a daughter Trudy Long; a son Lynn Alan Sykes Harris; a sister in law Elaine Elswick (Burl) and a brother in law Jimmy Sykes (Kay)
