Barbara Jean Graves

Barbara Leath was born on July 17, 1939 to Ruth Leath and Mack Turner. On December 7, 2019 she departed this life at home with her family by her side.  

She attended Burlington City Schools. She loved spend time with her mother and aunt Denoris Tate on the weekends, after a very long work week.

In 1961, Barbara married Bobby Graves of Graham, NC. who preceded her in death. From this union a daughter was born, Sonya Graves. They love cooking together, golfing together, and each other's company. She was employed by a few different textile mills but served the most time with J.C. Customs of Gibsonville where she retired in 1991 to become her mother’s primary caregiver.

Left to cherish her memories is her daughter, Sonya Thomas (of the home), Granddaughter, Kemia Graham, (of the home), Grandson, Terael Thomas, (of Burlington).

Great grandchildren, Demario Thomas, Maliyah Thomas, Ni’asia Bass, Na’trel Bass, Jokayla Damron, and Joe Augburn
