Barbara Jean Brinson

Barbara Jean Brinson, 81, of High Point formerly of Creedmoor passed away on August 1, 2019 at Pruitt Healthcare in High Point. 

Barbara was born in Granville County on September 13, 1937 the daughter of the late Willie Lee Currin and Maurine Averette Currin.   She was employed as a dietary aide at Murdoch Developmental Center for many years before she retired. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lacy Brinson; two brothers, Willie Lee Currin, Jr., and Roy Lee Currin.

Surviving are her son Ray Kennedy (Terri) of Whitsett; two grandchildren, Trent Kennedy (Shahara) of Lawrenceville, GA, and Kristie Kennedy Ballard (Phillip) of Woodridge, IL, and eight great grandchildren. 

A private graveside service will be held for family August 10, 2019 at 2 pm  at Carolina Memorial Gardens, Creedmoor, NC. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Living Word Baptist Church, Creedmoor, NC. You may leave an online condolence by visiting www.omegafsc.com.
