Sharon Denise Clayton

Sharon Denise Clayton, 73 of Burlington, passed away peacefully on Monday March 18th, 2024.

She was born in Alamance County on November 26th, 1950 to Alan Holyt Tippet and Sallie Jane Garringer Muarray, both deceased.

Survived by her husband of 54 years, Dennis W. Clayton, Son, Donnie Clayton and wife Sharon Clayton of Roxboro, Daughter, Penny Carter and husband Daniel Carter of Burlington, Granddaughter, Brandy Carter Straughan and husband Gene Straughan of Burlington, Granddaughter, Ashley Carter of Burlington, Great Granddaughter, Skylar Carter and Great Grandson, Weston Straughan. She is also survived by her younger sister Linda Hatch.

She was preceded in death by her brother Allen Tippett, sisters, Betty Tippett, Marie Alexander and Wanda Milsap.

Sharon was a loving Wife, Mother, Grandmother, and Great Grandmother. She loved spending time with her Grandchildren and always found joy in spending time with her Great grandchildren. She loved going to the beach with her husband even if it was just to ride down to get away. She liked to make and decorate cakes, loved sitting outside watching her cats, and gardening.

There will be a small private family gathering to honor Sharon.
