Onda Opaline (Hill) East

Onda Opaline Hill East, 63 of Graham, passed away peacefully on April 7, 2024 at her residence. 

Onda was born in Randolph County on April 9, 1960, daughter of the late James Charles Hill and Edna Duke Hill. She worked in the textile industry for many years and was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and aunt. She was the most caring person and always treated others as if they were family. She loved God and always taught us to step back and think about what Jesus would do. She enjoyed laughing, singing, dancing,and just spending time with her family.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Richard Lee East, Sr. and a son Richard East Jr. 

Onda is survived by her three daughters, Trisha East (Frankie Harper), Jessica East, and Onda East (Doug Kelley); a son Richard "Trae" East; ten grandchildren, Trae,Destiny,Christian,Kirah,Sabasjin,Caitlynn,Erabella,Eriel,Orion,and Dj; one great grandchild Avril ; two brothers, Tony Hill (late Cindy) and Jimmy Hill (Kathy) and special nieces Shenna Hill and Nichole Coble as well as numerous other family and good friends. 

A funeral service will be held at 1 pm on Wednesday, April 17, 2024 at Omega Funeral Service & Crematory Chapel with Reverend Tommy Bright officiating. Burial will follow at Graham Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12-1 pm prior to the service at the funeral home.
