Woodrow Gwynn

A MAN FOR ALL SEASONS

A TIME TO BE BORN…  Woodrow Gwynn was born December 18, 1953 to the union of the late Wilson Gwynn and Mayrine Brown Gwynn in Caswell County, North Carolina. 

 
A TIME TO LIVE… Woodrow graduated from Bartlett Yancey High School in 1973.  He was employed by Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company in Danville, VA from July 1974 until his retirement in July 2009.

A TIME TO LOVE…  Woodrow married Odessa Davidson in Caswell County on December 24, 1995.

A TIME TO SERVE… Woodrow attended, from his youth, Graves Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, Yanceyville, NC and later Abundant Life World Outreach Church, Danville, VA. 

A TIME TO DIE… Woodrow transitioned to his heavenly home on May 4, 2017 in the Brian Center, Yanceyville, NC.

A TIME TO MOURN… Woodrow is survived by his wife, Odessa D. Gwynn of Yanceyville, NC; mother, Mayrine Gwynn of Yanceyville, NC; brother, Wilson S. Gwynn (Nancy) of Yanceyville, NC; two sisters, Mary Slade (Darnell) of Yanceyville, NC and Tammy Hamlet of Durham, NC; two brothers-in-law, Edgar Davidson and Henry R. Davidson, both of Yanceyville, NC; a sister-in-law Abigail D. Graves (Janoff) of Yanceyville, NC and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Woodrow was preceded in death by his father, Wilson Gwynn and sister, Mary Frances Jones.
