Robert Leon Torian, Sr. son of the late Robert Franklin and Sarah Frances Kenion Torian was born June 5, 1950

He departed this life on Friday July 21, 2017 at his residence.

A loving husband, son, father, grandfather, brother and friend.

He was preceded in death by a brother Hulon B Torain and a niece Angela Torain-Kithcart.

Leon attended Orange County Public Schools and graduated Class of 1969. He was a member of Mt. Zion AME Church where he served faithfully as long as his health permitted.

Surviving are his wife Wanda Jones Torian; two sons Carmichael and Robert L. Torian, Jr.; Grandchildren, India, Kaitlyn, Ciara, Kyndall and Rae; Sisters, Annie Frances, Jean, Deborah and Willie Mae Torian and Ameturis (Phelps) Vann. Uncles John Waymond Kenion, Paul C. Torian and Weldon Clayton; Aunts Marie Torian, Mary Parker-Kenion; one brother in law; six sister in laws; and a host of nieces and nephews, great and great-great nieces and nephews cousins and friends.

A Home Going Celebration will be held at 11 am on Tuesday at Mt. Zion AME Church in Hillsborough. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the service at the church. Public viewing will be held from 12-4 pm on Monday at Omega Funeral Service & Crematory. Sign an online register book at www.omegafsc.com
