Robert H. Snyder, 75, of Graham died  August 16, 2017 at ARMC .

Robert was born in Vinton, VA in July 1942 to Francis and Ruth (Hairfield) Snyder. He was the eldest of four boys. His father died when Robert was eleven. His mother remarried, and the family expanded to include two step-brothers and a sister.

As a young man, Robert worked in the field of home improvement and repair. Later, he began a career in the convenience store business. He was Director of Operations at United Energy for many years before retiring in 2008. Prior to and following retirement, he worked on his own home improvements, remodeling and expansion. He took great pleasure in spending time with family.

He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Linda; his children, Robin Snyder, Gary Pierce (Kelly and sons), Jaime Hurlocker (Michael), Amanda Snyder (Stephen Israel); his granddaughters, Kennedy Wade and Isley Hurlocker.

A memorial celebration will be held at 2 P.M. on Saturday, September 9 in Fellowship Hall of Swepsonville United Methodist Church with Pastor Christi Dye officiating. The family extends an invitation to friends to remain following the service to visit a while. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to a favorite charity would be welcome.
