For many years, Nancy's smiling face greeted customers at Sears Northlake Mall in Tucker. In retirement, her retail experience was used volunteering in the gift shops at UNC Hospitals, NC Botanical Garden and Carol Woods Retirement Community in Chapel Hill.

Nancy took an active role in both St Andrews Presbyterian Church in Tucker, and University Presbyterian Church in Chapel Hill. She served in many capacities, including Elder, communion coordinator, Sunday School teacher, choir, Presbyterian Women, and various search and nominating committees.

Nancy's interests included her family, reading, walking, water aerobics, and travel, particularly to the British Isles. She made many friends pursuing her pastimes. She was an active member of University Woman's Club and served in several different roles on the board.

Nancy was devoted to her family and friends and is survived by her daughter Sallie Robinson of Charlotte NC; son Chris Robinson (Ginny) and grandchildren Wyler and Shiloh of Belton, TX; sister-in-law Mary Howes; nieces Anne Anderson (David) and Betsy Howes-Bean (Chuck) and nephew Bo Howes (Pat); great-nieces and -nephews Margaret, KK, and David Anderson, Benjamin and Becca Bean, and Jonathan (Gracie), Max and Matthew Howes; and her Tennessee and Massachusetts cousins.
