Linda Headley Tortorici entered into eternal peace on September 25, 2016, her birthday, at her home in Burlington, NC comforted by her family.

The family would like to let Linda's friends and former co-workers know that she wanted to fight this battle with quiet dignity and we're sorry that many of you were not aware.

Linda was born in 1961 in Ancon, Panama Canal Zone and as a child she lived in Chile, Mississippi, Kansas, and Georgia. The family settled in New Jersey where she graduated from Rahway High School, married, and raised her children. In 2006 she brought her wonderful New Jersey accent to North Carolina.  She was a lifelong Elvis fan and avid reader.

Linda was preceded in death by her father, Lt. Col. Fred C. Headley, Jr. (U.S. Army-Retired) and her mother-in-law Camille “Millie” Tortorici who Linda lovingly cared for in Millie’s final years.

Among those she leaves to cherish her memory are her daughter Jacquelin (Robbie), son Anthony, their father and her dear friend, Thomas Tortorici; grandchildren Brayden and Alexa DeAlto who she adored; her mother Ruth K. Headley, her siblings Fritz Headley (Paulina), Patti Stephens (Dave) and Kent Headley (April), ten nieces and nephews and six grandnieces and grandnephews.
