Lacy Reid Lloyd, Sr., 54 of New Bern and formerly of Burlington passed away Sunday May 1, 2016 in New Bern. 

Lacy was born in Burlington on December 18, 1961 the son of the late Eddie Wise Lloyd and Catherine Thompson Lloyd. In addition to his father he was preceded in death by a brother Eddie Wilson Lloyd.

Surviving in addition to his mother Catherine of Burlington are one son Lacy Reid Lloyd, Jr. of Burlington; five sisters, Elsie Emory, Rosie Dye, Susan Lloyd, Carolyn Oakley and Pattie Mathis; three brothers, Ernest Wise Lloyd, DeRoy Lloyd and Donnie Lloyd; as well as numerous other relatives and friends. 

 
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2 pm on Friday at Omega Funeral Service & Crematory Chapel with Pastor Steve Pruitt officiating. Interment will follow at Alamance Memorial Park.
