Katherine Duggins McDonald, 66, went to be with the Lord on December 19th, 2017 while at Alamance Regional Medical Center, after several years of declining health.

Katherine was born in Burlington, NC on July 6, 1951 to William Jackson Duggins and Patricia Wheeler Duggins. She was very proud to have gone to nursing school late in life in order to help others. She also enjoyed working with the God Did It Ministry in past years, using her testimony of what God had done in her life to encourage others. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.

Surviving is devoted husband Scott McDonald of Burlington, along with her daughter Karen (Todd) Martin, sons Michael (Shianne) Hatchel of Noxon, Mt. and Robert Hatchel.  She had five grandchildren:  Kelsea Martin, Colby Martin, Katie Hatchel Price, Madelyn Hatchel and Shane Hatchel. Siblings are Rebecca Jordan, Cindy Collins, Matthew Lynn Duggins, Pam Newnam, and Angela Brame Nye.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday December 26th at Burlington Assembly of God Church at 821 Tucker St, Burlington NC, with Dr. Howard Thompson and Rev. Brian Rainbow officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
