Jerry Wayne Massey, 59 of Burlington passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday July 12, 2016. 

Jerry was born in Alamance County on September 29, 1956 the son of Bernice Lee Massey and Lena Solomon Massey. He was a local bartender for many years and was a US Army veteran. Jerry was a member of the American Legion Post in Haw River. He was preceded in death by his wife Kayla Massey and a son Richard Wayne Massey. 

Surviving are his mother Lena of Burlington; his father Bernice and wife Sue of Burlington; two sons, Chad Massey and Jerimiah Massey both of Burlington; four daughters, Melissa Beam, Tonya Massey, Sonya Massey and Keisha Massey all of Burlington; two brothers, Alvis Massey and wife Cathy of Burlington and Roger Massey of Mebane and five grandchildren.
