Jerry Ray Green, 70 of Gibsonville passed away on Wednesday July 5, 2017 at UNC Healthcare Chapel Hill. 

Jerry was born in Cherokee County, SC on March 2, 1947 the son of the late Albert and Irene Holt Green. He was a carpenter and worked in the construction industry and was an ardent Gamecocks fan. He enjoyed working on computers and raising his standard poodles. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a son David Green. On December 24, 2001 he married the former Linda "Susan" Whitesell who survives of the home. 

Surviving are his wife Susan are four children, Tara Coggins, Terry Green, Barry Green and Tracy Green; three step children, James Younger, Wendy Simpson and Pamela Burwitz; two brothers, Larry Green and Albert "Junior" Green, Jr.; sixteen grandchildren and his fur babies Ebony, Alex and Charity. 

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2 pm on Monday at First Baptist Church of Gibsonville with JD Weed officiating. Interment will be in Blacksburg, South Carolina. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church as well as following the service at the church. Sign an online register book at www.omegafsc.com.
