Jean Carol Wood Mansfield went home to be with her Heavenly Father February 1, 2016 after a year of declining health.  She spent her final months at White Oak Manor of Burlington. She was born September 2, 1934 in Alamance County, the daughter of Robert E. L. Wood and Jessie Leonard Wood, deceased.  Jean was retired from GKN and Wal-Mart.  She is survived by her husband of 64 years Landon “Buck” G. Mansfield, sisters Sandra (Charles) Smith, Linda Capes, Brenda (Dan) Green, Terry (Doug) Palmer, Rose Marie Wood,  brother, Roger (Rosa) Wood and a very special aunt, Shirley Adams.  She was preceded in death by her brother, Tony Wood. 

A celebration of life service will be held at Glen Hope Baptist Church Thursday, February 4, 2016 at 4pm.  Visitation will be at the church from 3-4pm.  Memorials may be made to Shriner’s Children’s Hospital or Hospice of Alamance-Caswell. Sign an online register book at www.omegafsc.com   Omega Funeral Service & Crematory is entrusted with arrangements.
