James Craig "Jimmy" Jones, 66, a US Army Veteran of Mebane passed away on Wednesday December 28, 2016 at Golden Years Assisted Living. 
Jimmy was born in Alamance County on October 13, 1950 the son of the late William Bryant Jones and Iola Boggs Jones. He was employed as a truck driver for many years following his honorable service in the US Army. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Joan Jones Barker and Sue Jones Payne as well as a brother John Allen Jones.

Surviving are a brother William "Boney" Jones and wife Dianne and numerous other close family and friends.

 
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 1 pm on Monday in the chapel of Omega Funeral Service & Crematory with Curtis Barker officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment with military honors will be at Graham Memorial Park. Sign an online register book at www.omegafsc.com.
