Geraldine "Geri" Turney, 87 of Elon (formerly of Graham) passed away peacefully on Thursday August 31, 2017 at Hospice and Palliative Care of Alamance-Caswell.

Geri was born in Gaston County on June 25, 1930 the daughter of the late William and Goldie Starnes Adams. She was a homemaker and was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. On February 6, 1948, she married Clyde Bruce Turney who preceded her in death. 

Surviving are, one son Gerald Turney and wife Julie of Union Ridge; six grandchildren, Scott Williams (Holly), Brook Hambright (Matt), Chris Turney, Jonathan Ledford, Catherine Delaney (Matt), David Turney and 9 great grandchildren, Sam, Jonathan and Thomas Williams, Jacob, Rose, Juliette and Titus Hambright, Lavinia and Cordelia Delaney.

A private graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family. Sign an online register book at www.omegafsc.com. In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorials be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Alamance-Caswell, 918 Chapel Hill Road Burlington, NC 27215.
