Paul was my cool uncle. He was the guy who had the awesome stereo system, along with great taste in music, movies, literature, etc. I was lucky enough - as a 15-year-old - to spend much of the summer of 1976 with him and Aunt Nancy in Raleigh. They were in the process of building that beautiful log home, so i got to help out just a little with that. We hung out - movies, music, and late-night Waffle House runs, where we talked about everything - politics, religion, Elvis - everything. He loved Neil Diamond, and told me if Neil ever came to Atlanta (where we Parker's lived), that he would come down for the show. I held him to that, and we (Paul, Nancy, & I) ended up going to the show at the Fox Theater. Great memory. I also remember going to the bicentennial celebration at (I believe) the NC State Fairgrounds that July 4th. Another great time. Anyway, I'll always have a special place for Paul in my heart, and even though I haven't seen him since my dad's funeral back in 2010, I'll miss just knowing he's still around. He was an awesome guy - Love you Lynn & Gail (and all of Paul's family).

Sorry for your loss. Please accept my deepest condolences. When I think of losing a loved one as you have, it brings to mind the promise that the Bible holds out at Revelation 21:3,4 where it says that the Grand Creator Jehovah God will wipe away sickness and death forever and reunite us with our loved ones on a clean earth in the near future.(John 5:28,29; Psalms 83:18)

We can look forward to the day when there will be no more sickness and death. Revelation 21:4 says: "And he (God) will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away". Please accept my sincere condolences. Always remember God loves you and he cares for you! (Psalm 36:7; 1 Peter 5:7) jw.org

Lynn, I knew your parents since eighth grade when I met you in school. They were always so kind to me. Your Dad was a real Card, and I will never forget his acti
ng skills which apparently were passed on to Alice! He used to crack us up doing the psaltery routine, remember? He was a lovely man, and although I know how much you miss him, he is with your Mother now. May you be comforted by happy memories and know that I am only a phone call away. Love you!

Uncle Paul was a person one never forgets. I will always remember that chuckling laugh accompanied by his grin. He was always "up beat" and brought a unique energy level into any room he entered.
