Edward Niles Carter, 53 of Burlington passed away on Wednesday May 25, 2016.

Edward was born in Greensboro on September 27, 1962 the son of Mary C. Marshall and the late William Carter.  He was a USMC Veteran and worked in retail sales for Goodwill and Kmart during his career. Edward was a loving husband, son, brother and uncle. He enjoyed woodworking and building bird houses, taking care of his yard and his fur babies. In addition to his father he was preceded in death by a sister Debbie Benton. On July 16, 2005 he married the former Carolyn Dunn who survives him.

Surviving in addition to his mother Mary and his wife Carolyn are a step sister Linda Sumner; a brother in law Mike Benton and several nieces and nephews.
