Dorothy "Dot" Gregory Waynick, 83, passed away peacefully at Hospice of Alamance county on August 20 with her daughters by her side.

Dot was a retired registered nurse.  The majority of her 28 year career was spent at Presbyterian Medical Center, in labor & delivery. She was able to assist in delivering several of her grandchildren. Dot was known for her sense of humor. Hobbies included bird watching, reading, needlepoint, doll collecting, & of course bingo.

She is survived by her husband, Jack, of 61 years, three daughters; Becky Craig (Kimmel), Teresa McCauley (John), & Diana Marcus (Jimmy), 10 grandchildren, & 10 great grandchildren.

She was predeceased by three children; Andy, Patty, & Kathy, a step grandson, her parents, & all three siblings.

A memorial service will be held at Sedgefield United Methodist Church in Charlotte on Sunday Aug 28.  Visitation begins at 2pm, the service will be at 3pm.  In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Hospice Home of your choice.
