Donald "Donnie" Edward Harper

Donald Harper, 74, of Burlington, NC, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, February 3, 2018.  He was born and raised in Burlington, NC.  He worked for many years in the textile industry with Burlington Industries, Culp and Upholstery Prints until he retired.  He was an avid pool player, fisherman and car enthusiast.  He loved his dogs Jack and Tuffe like his own children.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Grace and Jake Harper and his best friend, Rex Jones – all whom he loved dearly.  Surviving are his two daughters, Lisa Wicker (and husband Scott) of Mebane and Billie Jean Wilson (and husband Mike) of Burlington; grandson, Joshua Wilson of Burlington; former wife and special friend, Trisha Harper of Burlington; and his brother, Larry Harper of Chincoteague, VA.
