Dina King Bray died peacefully on June 9, 2017, with her husband, daughter, son-in-law and best friend by her side.

Dina grew up in a military family and lived all over the country, but spent her adult life in Chapel Hill. She worked for 35 years in Information Technology at UNC Hospitals. She was an avid Tar Heel fan who enjoyed spending Saturday afternoons in Kenan Stadium and attending Carolina baseball games with her family. After retiring, Dina loved being with her grandsons.

Dina is best remembered as someone who lived to help others. She always put the needs of others ahead of her own and derived her greatest pleasure in serving everyone she could. Dina loved her church and worked tirelessly behind the scenes in a variety of roles. No one ever had to ask Dina to volunteer for anything at church as she was always there to help. Although small in stature, Dina was a giant presence in the lives of all who knew her.

Dina is survived by her husband Joe Bray, her daughter Christy Bray Graves (Mark) and her grandsons Griffin and Joseph. She is also survived by her brothers, David King (Nina) and Chris King (Barbara) and by her beloved dogs Nikki and Daisy. 

A celebration of life will be held Wednesday, June 14th, at 2:00 pm at University Baptist Church in Chapel Hill. The service will be immediately followed by a reception in the church fellowship hall. 

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the UNC Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center.
