Dewell Lee "Button" Brockwell Cook, 87, of Burlington passed away peacefully on Saturday December 31, 2016 at her home. 

Button was born in Orange County on November 13, 1929 the daughter of Dewey Brockwell and Selma Pendergraph Brockwell. She was employed as a winder with Burlington Industries for many years. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Jimmie Cook, a daughter Brenda Cook Coble and a brother Charles Brockwell.

Surviving are a daughter Jerri Robertson; two sons, Richard Cook and Kenneth Cook; a sister Becky Williams; 7 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. 

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2 pm on Thursday at Omega Funeral Service. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
