Graham,

 David Eugene Norton, 70, of Graham passed away June 7, 2016 at his residence.

The son of the late Sam and Margaret Norton, David was known as “the most humble person you will ever meet”.  He served as a Deacon and Sunday School teacher for over 20 years and was known as a very hard working man.

In addition to his parents, David is pre-deceased by his wife Linda Lucas Norton and son Joshua Norton. He is survived by daughters Teresa McDade of Snow Camp and Jennifer Norton of Graham; brother Sam Norton of Swepsonville, sister Geraldine Swain of Burlington, and brother Ronald Norton of Graham. Also surviving him are 4 grandchildren Bryan Smith, Dylan Little, Peyton Norton, Madison Norton and 1 great-child Khloe Smith.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 12:00 noon on Thursday, June 9 in the chapel of Omega Funeral Service & Crematory.  Visitation will be from 10:00 – 11:45 prior to the service, with the family gathering at other times at the home of his daughter Teresa McDade.  A private family interment will follow the service.
