Daniel Arthur Bates (Danny) residing in Mebane NC passed away Monday, October 10th, 2016. He was born on November 18th, 1977 in Olean NY to Donald Arthur Bates and Nancy Meta Hogue Bates of Franklinville NY.

Danny grew up in Franklinville, was active in both his church and the community. He was a member of Cub Scout pack 601 and Boy Scout troop 601 where he was able to participate in the National Jamboree, travel to Washington DC and NASA. He attended TBA high school, participating in basketball, soccer, track, band and French club. He graduated in 1995 with a NYS Regents Diploma majoring in Math, Science, Business and French. He went on to receive his A.A.S. degree in Computer Science from JCC in Olean, NY achieving the Dean’s List. He spent the greatest part of his career as a network administrator with Adelphia Corp/Time Warner Cable in Coudersport, PA.

He was quick witted and always willing to help out when needed. He loved science fiction, computers and being with family and friends. He enjoyed his different sport cars over the years both driving and working on them. His dedication and love for his German Shepherd, Holly, is a celebration of the person that he was. He left a lasting impression where ever he went. He was loved dearly and will not be forgotten.

Danny is pre-deceased by his father Donald and survived by his Mother Nancy of Franklinville NY, his sisters Barbara Bates Haley (Don) and Kathy Jewett of Franklinville NY, his brother Tobin Bates (Vicki) of Mebane NC, his nephews Matthew Haley (Ashley) of Franklinville NY and Elijah Bates of Mebane NC, his niece Abigaile Bates of Mebane NC and other family to include; two aunts, a great nephew, three nephews, a niece, six cousins.
