Graham,

Catherine Elaine George Westbrooks, 73 of Graham passed away at home on Saturday March 18, 2017. 

Catherine was born in Alamance County on April 4, 1943 the daughter of the late Dallas George and Fonnie Cox George. She was formerly employed with Pickett Hosiery and was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two sisters, Elizabeth Porter and Helen Cox as well as three brothers, Colvin George, Ray George and David George. On September 13, 1959 she married Jack Ellis Westbrooks who survives her. 

Surviving in addition to her husband Jack of the home are two daughters, Sharon Nance of Graham and Linda Blalock and husband David of Snow Camp; a son Tony Westbrooks and wife Jamie of Burlington; a brother Marvin George; six grandchildren, Stephanie Simpson, Kristin Whitesell, Coty Blalock, Hannah Westbrooks, Madison Westbrooks and Matthew Brown; and four great-grandchildren, Braylon Deming-Nance, Hayden Simpson, Kaylynn Whitesell and Angel Campbell. 

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2 pm on Thursday at Omega Funeral Service & Crematory Chapel. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm on Wednesday at the funeral home.
